General Permit
Ecology released a draft Aquatic Mosquito Control General Permit on
February 3, 2010. Ecology will accept written comments on the draft
permit, fact sheet, and notice of intent until 5 pm, March 10, 2010.

Emailed comments must contain the commenter’s name and postal address. Comments should reference specific permit text when possible. Submit comments by email to: jonathan.jennings@ecy.wa.gov.

A public hearing and workshop on the permit is scheduled to be held in Moses Lake, Washington. At the workshop Ecology will explain the draft permit and answer questions. A hearing will immediately follow the workshop. Oral comments may be made at the hearing.

To register for an Aquatic Mosquito Control Permit online, you must first sign up for a SecureAccess Washington (SAW) account. A SAW account gives you access to a growing list of government services while ensuring your privacy. Please complete the following instructions to access the Aquatic Mosquito Control Permit online registration form.
Register for the Aquatic Mosquito Control Permit Online - in 3 easy steps
Click “sign up” below. Complete the 6 part sign up sequence. Enter your information including your name and email address. You will receive an email confirmation. Click on the link in the email.
Login to SecureAccess Washington. Under “Add a new Service,” look for "Department of Ecology," and then “Aquatic Mosquito Control Permit Application.” Click “Apply” in the left column. Your registration request will be sent to the Washington State Department of Ecology. Approval will take one or more business days. You will receive an approval email. Click on the link in the approval email to verify your access.
Login to SecureAccess Washington. Under “Services” go to Aquatic Mosquito Control Permit Application. Complete the online permit coverage Notice of Intent (application) form. When completed, Secure Access will format the application into a printable document. Print the form, sign and date it, and submit it to Ecology.
