The Washington Department of Ecology has set up a new list serve for
freshwater algae. The Freshwater Algae Program List serve will act as an
information exchange and discussion forum about freshwater algae in Washington.
A list serve is a program that allows people to send email to one address, which
automatically resends that message to all of the other subscribers on the list.
If you would like to join the list here’s how you go about it.
Start a new email and put subscribe ECOLOGY-FRESHWATER-ALGAE-PROGRAM in the body
of the message (not the subject) and send the email to
listserv@listserv.wa.gov
Further instructions will be sent back to you.
As always there are rules about posting to list serves. Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with these guidelines.
Please keep your input to the freshwater algae list serve professional. This list serve is a place where differences of opinion can be aired, however, with courtesy and respect.
By joining and using these e-mail lists, you agree that you have read and
will follow the etiquette outlined above. You also agree to reserve list
discussions for freshwater algae and issues associated with freshwater algae. If
at any time offensive messages are posted to the list serve, the person posting
the messages will be put on suspension.
We welcome you to this forum and look forward to your participation and input.
