This work will improve the estimates of the loadings of toxic chemicals from publicly-owned sewage treatment works (POTWs) and industrial facilities by incorporating the results of prior Priority Pollutant analyses into the initial Phase 1 estimates. The project will require pulling hardcopy results from Ecology's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System files for an estimated 80 to 100 facilities, entering the analytical results for the Phase 1 chemicals of concern into a database, integrating the new data with the old, and recalculating the loadings of the Phase 1 toxic chemicals of concern. This project will more accurately estimate toxic chemical loadings from POTWs and industrial facilities.
The Department of Ecology's Water Quality Program will oversee this sub-task.
