Introduction
Legislation In 2006 and 2007 amended Chapter 90.46 RCW - Reclaimed Water Use. The Department of Ecology is directed to form an advisory committee and to adopt rules for all aspects of reclaimed water use by December 31, 2010. Legislative changes in 2007 expand the scope of the rule advisory committee, create sub-task forces to advise Ecology, and require reports in December 2007 and December 2008. The governor also vetoed a section (Sec. 4) and directed Ecology to work with legislative leadership on water rights impairment issues and to harmonize the implementation of new reclaimed water use planning requirements This website contains information on the Reclaimed Water Use rule development process and will be updated periodically.
