Phase II Eastern Washington Municipal Stormwater Permit
The Phase II permit for Eastern Washington applies to all regulated small
municipal separate storm sewer systems in Eastern Washington. It covers 18 cities and portions of 6
counties.
The EPA phase II regulations went into effect in early 2003 and apply to
all regulated small municipal separate storm sewer systems. Ecology first
issued the Eastern Washington Phase II permit in 2007,
modified it
in 2009, and reissued it unmodified on August 1, 2012. At legislative
direction it will be effective through July 31, 2014. After an extensive public
process, Ecology also
reissued
the updated 2014-2019 permit on August 1, 2012 to become effective on August
1, 2014.
