Westside Stormwater Group
Ecology convened the Westside Stormwater Group to address municipal stormwater issues for western Washington. Representatives for municipalities (cities and counties), business, environmental interests, agriculture, ports and state agencies comprise the Westside Stormwater Group. Invitation letters were sent to each interest group during early June 2003.
Tasks:
The Westside Stormwater Group will work within a facilitated process to frame significant policy issues related to the development of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination permits for municipal separate stormwater discharges in Western Washington, identify options to address these issues, clarify different positions related to these options, and identify areas of consensus. The Westside Stormwater Group will meet during August 2003 to December 2003.The Westside Stormwater Group has identified their meeting schedule. The meetings will take place in Western Washington and as locations are identified, they will be added to the schedule.

The Westside Stormwater Group includes 20 members representing municipalities, business, agriculture, environmental interests, ports, shellfish industry, transportation, Ecology, and the Puget Sound Action Team. Each member also has a designated alternate who will participate in the Westside Stormwater Group meetings when the primary member is not available. Persons interested in providing input to the Westside Stormwater Group are encouraged to contact their representative or alternate who can, in turn, provide the information to the entire group during the regular meetings.Public Comments
