Delegates' Table

Ecology recognizes potential rule changes to the Surface Water Quality Standards may impact Washington residents and industries. In order to address the complex science and public policy issues of the current rule making, Ecology formed the Delegates’ Table.

What is the Delegates’ Table?

The larger Policy Forum is centered around a core group Ecology identified to help work through key policy issues. The core group, called the Delegates’ Table, consists of individuals representing the interests of their respective communities. The Delegates’ Table will provide advice and perspective to the agency as it addresses the complex science and public policy issues of the rulemaking.

Ecology asked multiple groups, including Tribes, businesses, environmental groups, local governments, and agricultural industries, to identify persons to represent their communities and convey ways their community may be affected by potential rule changes.

See Preliminary Draft Rule Package for Human Health Criteria and Implementation Tools released by Ecology on September 30, 2014.
