Totten and Eld Inlets Water Quality Improvement Project

Eld and Totten Inlets are located in Southwest Puget Sound. Several creeks flowing into these inlets have enough bacteria to pose potential health risks to recreational users and to contribute bacteria loads to marine shellfish areas. There are also water temperature issues.  These concerns are being addressed by a combination of a habitat conservation plan (HCP) and water quality improvement project, also known as a TMDL (total maximum daily load).
