Professional growth and training

You can view your professional growth transcripts anytime by logging into SecureAccess Washington (SAW).

For current SAW account users:

1. Log onto SecureAccess Washington ("Add Service" if you haven't already. See steps 4-10 below)
2. Go to "My Services" at top of page.
3. Select "Wastewater Operator Certification" option.
4. View transcripts.

New Users:

1. Open SecureAccess Washington
2. Follow their prompts under "Don't have an account? Create one." They will send you an email confirmation code.
3. Enter your name EXACTLY as it appears on your certificate.
4. Log into SAW with your new account email and password.
5. Click "Add New Service"
6. Select "Department of Ecology" from the list on the left.
7. Find "Wastewater Operator Certification" under services and click apply on the left.
8. Wait for an email confirmation from SAW
9. Look for "Operator Certification" under "My Services."
10. Fill in the 2 question form. SAW will send OpCert staff a request.
11. You will have access to your transcripts after we approve your request.

As you receive your professional growth documents, email or send hard copies of them to the OpCert Program.

If you do not see a course you are interested in on the approved course list, please ask the trainer to submit a request for approval or contact the OpCert program.

1. See if it meets ABC's CEU relevancy criteria for wastewater professional growth.
2. Complete the CEU request form.

Submit a training roster that includes:

• Course name
• Course beginning and ending date
• Course start and end time
• Course ECY number
• Instructor name
• Attendees names – printed and signed
• Attendees certificate numbers. 

Training authorizations last for three years, with the following exceptions:

• If the course curriculum changes, the authorization expires and the course needs to be resubmitted for authorization
• If the training is a conference, the authorization expires after the conference ends
