The Project

OCR and the Chelan Public Utility District (PUD) are evaluating the viability of a potential storage site at Lower Rock Island Creek near Wenatchee.

Opportunities

The Lower Rock Island Creek Reservoir is projected to provide nearly 57,000 acre-feet of water for irrigation, homes, industry, etc. and over 28,000 acre-feet of water to enhance instream flows.

Expected Outcomes

The appraisal study will make an initial determination as to whether a lower Rock Island Creek storage facility is a viable project. (economically, geologically, environmentally, etc.).
