Activities Involving Dams We Do NOT Regulate.

We coordinate our activities with:

• Federally-owned dams and/or
• Hydropower dams.

There are 145 dams in Washington State that are owned and/or regulated by one or more of the following government entities:

• Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
• Bureau of Reclamation
• Corps of Engineers
• Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS

Ecology coordinates with FERC to determine that water quality standards are attainable as part of the FERC license.
