Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Data and Maps
Ecology's GIS staff builds and maintains spatial datasets and
applications, conducts GIS projects, and publishes GIS maps in
support of the agency's mission of protecting the land, air, and
waters of the state. We also provide GIS services and
training to other federal, state, and local government clients.

Monitoring - Ecology's Environmental Assessment Program works to
provide reliable data and information about environmental conditions
- Environmental Information
Management System (EIM) is the Department of Ecology's main database
for environmental monitoring data. EIM contains records on physical,
chemical, and biological analyses and measurements. Supplementary
information about the data (metadata) is also stored, including
information about environmental studies, monitoring locations, and data
quality.

Recreation and Conservation Office and the Salmon
Recovery Funding Board
The Recreation and Conservation Office
(formerly the Office of the Interagency Committee) creates and maintains
opportunities for recreation, protects the best of the state's wild
lands, and contributes to the state's efforts to recover salmon from the
brink of extinction.
The Salmon Recovery Funding Board supports salmon recovery by
funding habitat protection and restoration projects. It also
supports related programs and activities that produce
sustainable and measurable benefits for fish and their habitat.
