- The Mission of the Department of Ecology is to protect, preserve and
enhance Washington’s environment, and promote the wise management of our
air, land and water for the benefit of current and future generations.
- Water Resources Program Mission Statement - The mission of the
Water Resources Program is to support sustainable water resources management
to meet the present and future water needs of people and the natural
environment, in partnership with Washington communities.
State Priorities of Government (POG)
The purpose of POG is to create a strategic framework for investment decisions. This
prioritization of activities is used to guide the Governor's budget proposal to
the legislature, and to communicate that budget to the public.
State Government Management Accountability Performance (GMAP)
The purpose of GMAP is to provide clear accountability to citizens for
performance and results. It is to make service delivery more responsive to
businesses and individuals and focus all agency operations on improving
performance and service delivery.
Ecology GMAP sessions are scheduled on a rotating basis. The schedule is on
the Ecology link above. The public is welcome to attend Ecology GMAP sessions.
