The Washington Well Construction Act mandates the formation of a group that assists Ecology to develop and revise well construction and licensing statutes and regulations. The TAG was formed according to Chapter 18.104.190 RCW in 1993. The group meets at least twice per year; however, additional meetings can be held if the group is working on revisions to law and rule. The TAG is composed of twelve primary members composed of representatives of regulatory agencies and private industry with interests in well construction. TAG meetings are open to the public.
Ecology is currently accepting applications for new members. Each appointed member has a term limit of six years. Ecology encourages new membership; however current members may reapply when their term expires. TAG members do not receive financial compensation for their service.
