About Us

Accountability to Citizens

We take accountability very seriously. Our job is to protect, preserve and enhance Washington’s environment and ensure that our air, land and water are safe for both people and animals.

One way we hold ourselves accountable to citizens is through GMAP meetings – Government Management, Accountability and Performance. Our GMAP meetings are open to the public. At these meetings, our management team uses performance measures and in-depth analysis to improve the decisions we make to protect human health and the environment.
