The purpose of the group is to advise the Director on implementing regulatory reform and streamlining efforts. Ecology and the group will be initially focused on implementing Competitiveness Council recommendations based on the Governor’s priorities, but will also consider additional actions and longer-term processes towards regulatory improvement initiated independently by Ecology.
The Director and agency managers are seeking:
continuous feedback on how the agency can more effectively deliver its regulatory services,
advice on methods to implement specific solutions to targeted problem areas, and
advice on regulatory system improvements that would allow Ecology to more effectively deliver its regulatory services.
