Environmental Monitoring Data

The table below lists Washington State environmental data by environmental setting. It shows whether the data are in EIM,* includes links to supplemental information, and also indicates whether environmental monitoring data and toxics data are accessible through the web page.

*EIM - The Environmental Information Management System is the Department of Ecology's main database for environmental monitoring data. EIM contains records on physical, chemical, and biological analyses and measurements. Supplementary information about the data (metadata) is also stored, including information about environmental studies, monitoring locations, and data quality. Air
Air quality	Real-time air monitoring data (WAQA map), including particulate matter, carbon monoxide and ozone. (More about air quality monitoring)
Marine
Water quality	Marine Waters monitoring data, Includes monthly long-term data collected from a seaplane, continuous data from moorings in Puget Sound and Willapa Bay, and data from in-depth studies such as the South Puget Sound Dissolved Oxygen study. Links to supporting information and documentation.
Sediment quality	EIM includes data on marine sediment quality from many studies and programs including the PSAMP Program below. 	Puget Sound sediment monitoring data includes data collected annually for the Puget Sound Assessment and Monitoring Program (PSAMP) Program and Ecology’s Urban Waters Initiative sediment monitoring program. Links to supporting documentation and reports.

Rivers, Streams, Lakes and Reservoirs
Water quality	EIM includes river and stream water quality data from many studies and long-term monitoring programs, including the ambient monitoring program below.
