Each of the six major components of the Facility/Site Identification System is presented below together with the mandatory attributes associated with those components.
The first component is Facility/Site. To create a new Facility/Site within the system, data must be entered for each of the mandatory attributes listed below that are associated with the Facility/Site component.

The second component, Interactions, is administratively enforced, not system enforced. Periodically, the system is reviewed to identify each Facility/Site without an entered interaction. The system administrator contacts the user to enter an interaction. (Note: System enforcement is likely to be added in a future system revision.)

The remaining four components presented below are optional. However, if a user chooses to use any one of them, certain attributes for each are mandatory and the user must either enter data or make a selection from the appropriate Combined Code Table.

The system enforces this by requiring a mailing address for the first affiliation associated with the Facility/Site. While this first mailing address may be modified, the system will not allow a user to delete it unless another affiliation that includes a valid mailing address has been entered.) |
