Description:
Abstract:
Shoreline Management Act (SMA) coverage; points denote the stream location where water flow reaches 20 cubic feet per second. This is the point where the stream falls under SMA jurisdiction.
Purpose:
Develop a more accurate method to determine the upstream boundary point for streams and rivers that come under the jurisdiction of the Shoreline Management Act.
Supplemental_Information:
This is NOT the official dataset for SMA. It has not been officially adopted and is considered DRAFT data. These shoreline points were determined by USGS in three studies commissioned by the Department of Ecology. The first study considered streams for western Washington. The second study added steams and basins in northeastern Washington, and finally a third study added streams in southeastern Washington.
