Anadromous Fish Maps – Salmonid Stock Inventory (SaSI)

These maps were compiled using Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Streamnet data. Stream and water body modeling is 1:24,000 scale and the Species stock inventories/status are drawn using the event data tables Presence, Rearing, Spawning, and Salmonid Stock Inventory (SaSI). Barriers to upstream migration and hatcheries are shown on the maps with their associated codes or names by the species they represent. The information page SPECIES-INFO.PDF provides a key (legend) for modeling features used in this map series.  

Also included on maps, where relevant, are the Endangered Species Act (ESA) Listing Status, Federal and State, for each listed species. For more information on Federal ESA listed species see:

All maps are grouped by Water Resource Inventory Area (WRIA). Only maps that show fish species presence in rivers or streams in the selected WRIA are included in this series, so not all WRIAs are represented and not all thirteen species will be found in every WRIA folder. All maps are current for May, 2007.

As with other maps in the WRIA series, such as 303(d), Lat/Long, or Township/Range/Section, these maps have been processed using a minimum of geographic reference data for clarity of represented information. If you require more visual reference such as roads, cities, public lands, or other features, please refer to the MPL map series or make a copy of the fish map using transparency film and use as an overlay on one or more of the other maps in this series.
