Hydrography Data – Establish Tabular Crosswalks Between Various Hydrography Unique Identification Systems

Create an identification system (ID) crosswalk between the various unique identification systems that have been used and/or established in Washington over the past 10 years.

History:

In the late1980’s the Department of Ecology established a Water Body Identification (WBID) system used for tracking water quality impaired waters in Washington.
In 1991 the Water Resources Data Management Task Force recommended the creation of a WA Surface Water Identification System (WASWIS.)
In 1997, under the Information Integration Project recommended the adoption of WASWIS stream ID’s.
In 1998, the WAGIC Hydrography Framework Management Group adopted the use of EPA River Reach 3 Codes and the Latitude/Longitude unique identifiers (LLID’s) for Washington State Framework data.

Crosswalks are created for the following data and identification systems:
