Pacific Northwest Salmon Habitat Indicators were developed to help evaluate the environmental and human risk to salmonid stocks in the region. Functional categories of Salmon Indicators included: Fish Abundance, Water Quality, Land Use/Land Cover, and Physical Habitat. The project attempted to map as many of the 15 indicators as possible using only pre-existing data sources. The project took this approach to test the plausibility of answering these questions on a statewide basis in Washington.
