Six Win 2006 Governor’s Award

Five Washington businesses and a not-for-profit organization have won the 2006 Governor’s Award for Pollution Prevention and Sustainable Practices. The winners – Dentistry Northwest, Port Hadlock; Frito-Lay, Inc. and Panasonic Shikoku Electronics Corp. of America - Consumer Electronics, both of Vancouver; Korry Electronics and Seattle Tilth Association, both of Seattle; and Sleeping Lady Mountain Retreat, Leavenworth – were honored in a ceremony October 4 at the state Capitol in Olympia.
