Sustainability Plan Performance Measures
- Energy consumption (KWH) as measured by electricity
billings.
- Total monthly water consumption (gallons) as measured by
water billings at each facility.
- Total monthly irrigation water use (gallons) at each
facility.
- Total square footage in landscaping.
- Total square footage in irrigated landscaping.
- Solid waste reduction as measured by disposal billings
- Recycling as measured by pounds of materials collected for
recycling.
- Hazardous waste reduction as measured by amount reported
disposal.

- Reduced waste disposed as measured by solid waste billings.
- Reduced material intensity as measured by dollars spent
consumable supplies.
- Reduced material intensity as measured by the quantity of

- Annual surveys will be conducted to ask employees what they
would like to see or learn (*CBSM) and to measure employee
involvement, awareness and response to employee awareness
activities.
- These surveys will provide information on current interests
of agency staff and the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of the
strategies and messaging approaches. (*Community based social
marketing measurement methodology).
