Eleven Win 2007 Governor’s Award






Seven Washington businesses and four public facilities won the 2007 Governor’s Award for Pollution Prevention and Sustainable Practices. The winners – Ben Franklin Transit, Tri-Cities; Bi-O-Kleen, SEH America, Inc., and The Holland, Inc. - Burgerville, all of Vancouver; Chambers Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, University Place; Lummi Island Wild, Lummi Island; Materials and Resources Management, Business and Finance, WSU - Pullman; Mountain Gear, Inc., Spokane Valley; The Evergreen State College, Olympia; Whitman Mission National Historic Site, Walla Walla; and Yelm Earth, Worm & Castings Farm, Yelm – were honored in a ceremony October 9 at the state Capitol in Olympia.
