A Planning Unit is being formed to undertake watershed planning in WRIA (#) under the provisions of the 1998 Watershed Management Act, Chapter 247 Laws of 1998. A summary of this act and a map of the proposed planning area are enclosed for your convenience. This effort has been initiated by (counties), (city), (water supply utility), and (reservation tribe, if applicable). (Lead Agency) has been designated the lead agency for this planning effort.

If your Tribe has federally recognized fisheries resources in the management area that will be significantly affected by the watershed plan we invite you to join us on the Planning Unit as we develop strategies for meeting the competing resource needs in our watershed. Please let us know your decision on joining the watershed Planning Unit as soon as possible .
